Mason Privacy Policy

Mason is a grocery list app that parses recipe URLs into organized ingredient lists.
What we process
When you add a recipe, the app sends the recipe page content to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic’s Claude API for parsing. This data is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers or by Anthropic beyond the API request.
Crash reporting
We use Sentry to collect anonymized crash reports and basic usage events (recipe saved, planning started). No personal information, recipe content, or device identifiers are included.
iCloud sync
If you have iCloud enabled, your saved recipes are synced across your devices using Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Storage. This data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Subscriptions
Mason offers an optional monthly subscription billed through Apple. Apple handles all payment processing, and we do not have access to your payment information. You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings > Subscriptions.
Local data
Your grocery lists and saved recipes are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
What we don’t do
- We do not collect personal information
- We do not use advertising networks
- We do not share data with third parties for marketing

By using Mason, you agree to these terms.
The app
Mason is provided as-is. We do our best to parse recipes accurately, but results may vary by website. We are not responsible for incorrect ingredient quantities or missing items.
Subscriptions
Mason offers an optional subscription at $0.99/month (USD), billed through Apple. Your subscription auto-renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in iOS Settings > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial months.
Your data
You own your recipes and grocery lists. We don’t claim any rights to your content.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms.
